After an impossible 2020 and a very difficult 2021, the start of the year was still sluggish for UK cinemas. While Tom Cruise soared to new heights, there weren't many blockbuster releases following him. But, things are looking up.

This week, we take a quick look back at UK cinema attendances to date, before sharing the trailers for the biggest releases yet to come!

Outside of the original trilogy, the films of the Star Wars universe polarise fans like the rift between the light and dark side of The Force.

There is however one film that, to this writer and Star Wars fan, wins out and Lucasfilm have just released a trailer for a new series that dovetails in to it.

Back in November 2020 we were excited to report that Disney had started development of a sequel to George Lucas’ magical fantasy “Willow”.

After nearly a year’s filming, a stunning trailer was finally revealed at the recent Star Wars Celebration.

Premiering in New York City on May 12, 1986, Top Gun would open at 1028 U.S. movie theatres a few days later. At the end of its theatrical run, it had taken $357M at the box office.
