The Films We Are Looking Forward To - July to December 2024
Can you believe that we are already approaching the longest day of the year? Hopefully that means it will stop raining here in the UK, some time soon!
At the cinema, the first half of 2024 was all about Dune Part 2. It took over $700M at the global box office and is still rising. Unsurprisingly, on the 4th April, Legendary Pictures announced that Dune Part 3 is already greenlit for production.

Only two other films, Godzilla x Kong and Kung Fu Panda 4 managed to break the £500M barrier. Looking at the Top 10 films of the year so far, there are some surprising figures, with Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes, Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire and The Fall Guy under-performing expectations. We expect all will do well on streaming though!
Looking ahead, 2024 is packed with exciting movies. The impact of the strikes that halted film production last year are still working their way through schedules, so with the caveat that some of these dates might still change, here are some of the films that we are looking forward to in the second half of 2024!
