In the week that Inside Out 2 took over $1B, becoming the twenty-fifth highest grossing film of all time, Warner Brothers and Paramount Pictures released two epic movie trailers.
Turn your computer / phone / tablet speakers up and enjoy!
F1 – 25th June 2025
Just as Lewis Hamilton took the chequered flag on his record-breaking ninth British Grand Prix victory, Apple and Warner Brothers released the first trailer for the hotly anticipated Brad Pitt Formula One movie, imaginatively titled F1. (We prefer 'Pitt Stop'!)
Visitors to the last two Silverstone Grand Prix will have seen a new team, Apex Grand Prix in the paddock. Brad Pitt stars as Sonny Hayes, an ex-F1 driver called out of retirement to mentor a promising rookie (Damson Idris).
With a reported budget of $300M and with Hamilton as co-producer, this is a huge film for motor-sport fans!
Warner Brothers were kind enough to let us see the first teaser poster too. We will be on the look out for it 'in the wild'!
Gladiator 2 – 22nd November 2024
In a recent interview, Russell Crowe said that he was lucky as a young actor to have a film like Gladiator on his CV. As we welcomed the new millennium, it won him his Best Actor Oscar and took close to $500M at the global box office. A quarter of a century later, it still holds a special place in many fans' hearts.
Surprisingly, it took eighteen years for a sequel to be green-lit. This time, the role of a life-time goes to Paul Mescal, who stars alongside Pedro Pascal, Connie Nielsen and Denzel Washington in a tale set two decades after the original film.
With huge sets in Morocco, Malta and the UK, filming has taken ten months and it will be a further four months before Gladiator 2 hits the big screen.
In the same week as his Normal People co-star Daisy Edgar-Jones premiered Twisters, we got out first chance to see Mescal's Lucius Verus, former heir to the Empire, now a prisoner, forced to fight as a Gladiator!
We will let you know as soon as we track down the teaser movie posters!
So exciting! We cannot wait!
