Collection introduction

Movie poster light boxes create an illuminated cinema-style display for suitable original movie posters, bringing double-sided theatrical artwork to life with back-lit presentation.

This collection brings together our light box options for the two most widely used theatrical poster formats: the 27 × 40 inch one sheet and the 30 × 40 UK quad.

Designed for appropriate double-sided posters, these cinema-style displays allow artwork to be lit from behind, creating stronger colour, depth and visual impact than a traditional frame.

Many modern theatrical posters are produced specifically for illuminated cinema display, making light boxes a distinctive option for home cinemas, media rooms and film-led interiors.

Collection Notes

Movie poster light boxes for cinema-style display

A movie poster light box offers a very different presentation from a traditional frame. Instead of simply protecting and surrounding the poster, it illuminates suitable double-sided artwork from behind, creating the look and feel of a cinema display.

Our light boxes are available for two widely used theatrical formats: 27 × 40 inch one sheet posters and 30 × 40 inch UK quad posters. For the right poster, they can create a striking display for a home cinema, media room or film-led interior.

If your poster is single-sided, delicate, linen-backed or not designed for illuminated display, a ready-made frame or custom-made frame may be the better route.

Frame Guidance

What to check before choosing a frame

Practical notes on poster size, glazing, light box suitability and delivery to help you choose the right frame or display option for your movie poster.

Check the poster size

Modern movie posters are produced in standard formats, but it is not unusual for posters to vary from the published standards. It is always worth checking the exact measurements of your poster before ordering a frame or light box.

Choose the right display route

A ready-made frame is a straightforward option for standard display, while custom framing allows the frame, mount and glazing to be tailored around the poster itself.

Light box suitability

Our cinema-style light boxes are best suited to appropriate double-sided posters. If you are unsure whether your poster is suitable, please ask before ordering.

Protection and presentation

The right frame should present the poster cleanly while helping to protect it from handling, dust and everyday display conditions.

Delivery and installation

Frames and light boxes are packed carefully for delivery. Please check product details for size, finish and any installation considerations before purchase.
