In their March 2020 edition, the superb EMPIRE magazine chose their ‘100 Greatest Movies of the Century (so far!)’.

We were quite surprised by their number one pick.

2018's "Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom" left us in a world where dinosaurs roamed the U.S. mainland.

We have to wait until 2021 for the final episode of the trilogy, but, in 2019, a new eight-minute short, "Battle At Big Rock" surfaced...

It's well worth a watch!

How many times did you visit the cinema in 2019? We averaged a couple of times a month. Given what we do, I imagine that's not a surprise.

What about the average cinema goer? How has that changed over the past few years? 

We decided to do a little research with the help of the excellent UK Cinema Association. What we found was a surprising and fascinating story...

2019 has been a phenomenal year for the movie lover. Avengers: Endgame, Toy Story 4, Once Upon A Time In Hollywood, Joker and Frozen II led the way, with a whole host of fantastic films filling the screens around them.

With the return of James Bond, Doctor Dolittle and Captain Pete "Maverick" Mitchell, 2020 looks set to be another great one.

So, here are our pick of the trailers for the first half of 2020...

It is here at last! The first official trailer for Bond 25 - "No Time To Die".

Now widely believed to be Daniel Craig's final outing as 007, the trailer shows Bond retired, a relic in a fast moving modern world, but maybe, just maybe, he could be the one to save us...

As our favourite movie of the year becomes the first ‘R’ rated film to take $1B at the box office, rumours abound of a possible sequel.

The movie posters for the film have been in high demand and the studio, agencies and distributors have excelled with some stunning images, using both art-house film-stills and illustration from some fantastic contemporary artists.

Here are our pick (with all the trailers) of the Autumn and Winter releases! 

This month the jury of the 76th Venice Film Festival announced the winner of their highest honour, the Golden Lion.

Alongside Cannes' Palme d'Or and Berlin's Golden Bear, the Golden Lion is among the elite of European film awards.

So, the jury's announcement that the Golden Lion was won by Todd Philip's "Joker" was all the more amazing...

Back in January, we reported that Netflix and The Jim Henson Company were working on a prequel series to 1982’s fantasy adventure “The Dark Crystal”. For those too young to have seen the original film, it introduced groundbreaking puppetry to create Thra, a magical planet populated with amazing alien creatures such as Geflings, Skeksis and urRus, battling for control of a powerful Crystal.

Netflix have now announced the series will premier on 30th August. You can find out more (including all of the incredible trailers) here...

On Saturday, attendees to Disney's D23 Expo were treated to a “special look” teaser preview for December’s “Star Wars Episode IX – The Rise of Skywalker".

Today, it dropped for the rest of us.
