Whether you are a big fan of his work, or have a passing interest in cinema, “Stanley Kubrick : The Exhibition”, currently on display at London’s Design Museum, is a ‘must see’ show.

We were delighted to see that Kubrick's movie posters feature prominently throughout the show.

2019 is shaping up to be a fantastic year at the movies. From now until mid August, there is a blockbuster release a week, and some great movie posters to go with them.

To whet your appetite, here are all the trailers for our pick of the big Summer hits...

In a previous post to the Original Movie Posters Blog, we looked at the major movie poster artists of the late twentieth century. In this, we take our first deep dive in to the work of one of those legends.

Between the two we have 'Joker' which, even from the single trailer yet released, looks set to be a classic.

But, coolest film release of the year will probably go to Quentin Tarantino...

In the days of Netflix, Amazon Prime and Apple iTunes we can choose from thousands of movies in a few seconds. But, we live in an age of cinematic universes, re-boots, sequels, prequels, spin-offs and TV tie-ins, it can be bewildering to work out how things actually fit together.

Which ones should you watch first? Especially when the order films are released in, isn’t necessarily the order they run in.

So, in our “In the Order You Should Watch Them…” series of blog posts, we are going to paint a simple picture and provide a bit of background. The rest, well, that’s up to you. Perhaps you’ll watch them backwards, maybe that’s just how you roll…

The stunning teaser trailer (released yesterday) for D.C.'s "Joker" promises a film of depth that shows us how a normal man (played by Joaquin Phoenix) can become one of the world's greatest villains.

If you are looking at old movie posters, you will sometimes come across the term ‘a snipe’.

In the context of movie posters, it’s not a type of wading bird or a sly comment, but, a piece of paper that has been stuck on to the poster, sometime after the poster was printed.
