The Original Movie Posters Blog - Art of the Movies

Formed in Liverpool in 1960, by the time of their break-up, only a decade later, ‘The Beatles’ had changed the face of popular music forever.

Those ten frenetic years saw the production of twelve ground-breaking albums (five of which won the “Album of the Year” Grammy), three-hundred and five songs (of which seventeen reached number one in the U.K.) and five films (one of which received an Oscar).

In this blog post, we take a look at those five films, perhaps the most underrated part of the fab-four's work.

On a dank Saturday when you are running errands in the mist and catching up with weekend chores in the drizzle, there can be one saving grace – the great British pub.

When choosing posters for our own home, we do not buy for investment, we buy for the love of the art. However, the market for guaranteed original vintage movie posters appears to be growing and prices appear to be rising, so, in this blog post, we attempt to answer the question...

“Are movie posters a good investment?”

As the name suggests, Lobby Cards (as they are called in the U.S.) or Front of House Cards (as they are known in the U.K.), were designed for display in the lobbies and customer-facing areas of a cinema / movie theatre.
