A guaranteed original one-sheet movie poster from 1965 for Freddie Francis' English horror thriller "The Skull", based on the short story "The Skull of the Marquis de Sade" by Robert Bloch (who also wrote Alfred Hitchcock's "Psycho").

The movie pairs masters of horror Christopher Lee and Peter Cushing with Patrick Wymark, Jill Bennett and Patrick Magee in a tale of the exhumed skull of the Marquis de Sade and the evil curse it brings to those who handle it.

Produced by Amicus, it was their attempt to muscle in on the British horror market, then dominated by the famous Hammer Film Productions.

This is a fantastic 1960s, British horror movie poster! It was issued folded but has been professionally linen-backed. This process aids conservation, sympathetic restoration and flattens the original fold-lines. As our photos show, it now displays superbly!
