Some of the Russian movie posters we have come across from the 1970's are beautiful pieces of art and this is another fantastic example.
A gorgeous original movie poster from 1978 for Nikita Mikhalkov 1976 romantic comedy "Raba Lyubvi", released in English by SovExportFilm in 1978 as "Slave of Love".
This critically acclaimed film stars Elena Solovey, Rodion Nakhapetov, Aleksandr Kalyagin, Oleg Basilashvili, Konstantin Grigorev, Yuri Bogatyryov, Andrei Mikhalkov in a tale set during the Russian Civil War and inspired by the life of Russias first major film star, Vera Vasilyevna Kholodnaya. It would win Mikhalkov the Best Director award at the Tehran International Film Festival, with The New York Times called it an "unexpected masterpiece".
We have no idea who the artwork is by (if you know, please do tell us).It has never been folded and is in lovely condition, with only minor signs of its age. As our photos show, it will make a fantastic talking point in any stylish home.
Note:This poster is priced unframed. Photos showing framed and 'in room' images are for illustration only. Please check our hi-res images and the sizing information shown above.
