What an incredible horror movie poster!
A guaranteed original one sheet movie poster for Don Sharp's Hammer Horror thriller "Kiss of the Vampire", starring Clifford Evans, Noel Willman, Edward De Souza, Jennifer Daniel, Barry Warren, Isobel Black and Jacquie Wallis.
When honey mooning couple, Gerald and Marianne Harcourt, are driving through early 20th Century Bavaria, their car runs out of petrol. Luckily there is a small village nearby, with an inn. When they receive an invitation to dinner and end up at a masked ball, what can possibly go wrong?
In July 1963, Variety magazine wrote "Horror fans will dig this latest effort from the Hammer Film shop in Britain. It is a slickly-produced color story of evil doings in Bavaria, circa 1910, replete with suspense, demonism and mystery tightly wrapped in a skillful package of effective performance and well-paced direction."
This movie poster is as slick as the film! Is there a better Hammer Horror poster? The amazing artwork is by Joseph Smith, who was also behind posters for Ben Hur, Green Mansions, Doctor Doolittle and The Day of the Triffids. It is an incredible piece. We love it!
Originally issued folded, it has now been linen-backed and as our photos show, displays astonishingly well. A stunning piece for any horror fan (or vampire)!
We only sell guaranteed original movie posters. We do not sell reproductions.
Note: This poster is priced unframed. Photos showing framed and 'in room' images are for illustration only. Please check our hi-res images and the sizing information shown above.

Original Poster Buying Guide
Authenticity & Original Posters
Art of the Movies specialises exclusively in authentic original cinema posters issued for theatrical release. These are not modern reproductions or decorative reprints.
Original posters were produced in limited numbers for cinemas to promote films during their initial release. As a result, surviving examples have become highly collectible artefacts of film history.
Each poster offered on this site is an authentic vintage piece created for cinema exhibition and carefully selected for collectors and film enthusiasts.
Condition & Age
Vintage cinema posters were working promotional materials used by theatres and distributors. As such, signs of age and handling are normal and form part of their character.
Condition is carefully assessed for each poster and reflected in the description. Where relevant, notes may include details such as light handling wear, fold lines from original cinema distribution, or minor edge wear.
Any significant restoration or conservation work will always be clearly stated.
Poster Formats & Dimensions
Original cinema posters were produced in a variety of standard formats depending on the country and era of release.
Common formats include UK Quad, US One Sheet and other theatrical display sizes. Exact dimensions for each poster are provided in the product details where relevant.
These historic formats are part of the distinctive character of original film advertising.
Framing Options
Many posters can be supplied professionally framed as an optional extra.
Framing is carried out using archival-quality materials designed to protect and display vintage paper safely. Frames are prepared to complement the artwork while maintaining a clean, gallery-style presentation.
Where framing is available, it can be selected before purchase.
Packaging & Delivery
Posters are carefully packaged to ensure safe delivery.
Unframed posters are typically shipped rolled safely packaged within our extra-thick custom-made tubes. Framed pieces are securely boxed using protective materials to minimise movement during transit.
Orders are dispatched with tracking where available.
