A guaranteed original one sheet movie poster from 1979 for Milos Forman's anti-war musical "Hair", based on the Broadway show "Hair: The American Tribal Love-Rock Musical" by Gerome Ragni and James Rado.

Opening on Broadway in April 1968 with the writers as part of the cast, the original musical ran for 1,750 performances. Its London debut had to be delayed, awaiting the abolition of theatre censorship! It would eventually open in September 1968 and would run for an incredible 1,997 performances. Revivals would return the show to the stage in the 2000's and 2010's.

Milos' translation to the big screen would also be a big hit, taking $28M at the box office and garnering critical praise for transporting the viewer to the 'Age of Aquarius'!

This superb single-sided poster was designed by movie poster legend Bill Gold. Unusually for the period, it has never been folded and (as our photos show) displays superbly. A real collector's piece for the fan of the musical or film!
