Now this incredible movie poster screams early 1970's!

An absolutely amazing and guaranteed original Italian 'Four Fogli' movie poster from 1971 for Mike Hodge's gangster thriller "Get Carter", based on Ted Lewis' 1970 novel Jack's Return Home.

Filmed in an around Newcastle and the North East of England, Hodge's gritty setting provided the perfect back-drop for Michael Caine's remorseless killer. Caine apparently incorporated elements of underworld acquaintances in to his portrayal of Jack Carter.

A modest financial success on its release, Get Carter has now become a cult-favourite, not least due to the success of modern Brit-gangster films such as Lock Stock, Snatch and The Gentlemen.

This incredible movie poster was produced for the Italian release of the film, where it was titled simply, Carter. These larger Italian movie posters were issued folded and in two pieces. Our paper conservators have recently pieced the two sections back together and linen backed the poster and as our photos show, it now looks absolutely superb!

It is only the second we have ever found and given the work our conservators have put in to them both, we doubt there is another that will look as incredible once framed and on display!
