What a poster! A guaranteed original U.S. one sheet movie poster from 1980 for Mike Hodge's sci-fi fantasy "Flash Gordon", based on the comic-strip character created by Alex Raymond in the 1930's.

Starring Sam J. Jones (as 'Flash Gordon'), Melody Anderson, Ornella Muti, Timothy Dalton, Topol and Max von Sydow (as 'Emperor Ming, The Merciless'), this cult movie also includes a fantastic soundtrack by Freddie Mercury's Queen!

Now a firm fan favourite, a new Flash Gordon film has been in the works for some years. In October 2018 it was reported that writer and director Julius Avery will helm the project for Fox studios, with Matthew Vaughan as producer. How exciting is that!?!

This iconic single-sided movie poster features astonishing artwork by movie poster legend Richard Amsel. Incredibly, it has never been folded. Find me another!

As our photos show, it displays so well, with just some minor damage to the left edge that will not be visible once framed. It will look fantastic hanging on the wall of any sci-fi or 1980's fan.

By the way, in the 1970's, George Lucas attempted to acquire the rights to Flash Gordon. Unable to do so, he went on to write and direct Star Wars!
