In recent blog posts we have written of our love of the art of illustrator Richard Amsel. If you haven’t had chance, please do check out our post on film-maker and author Adam McDaniel’s work to preserve and promote the work of this astonishing artist, taken from us far too early.
In a short but prolific career he illustrated magazine covers, album covers, and book covers. But it is his movie posters that we will focus on.
Like all commercial artists, he produced sketches, comprehensives and even final artworks that ultimately went unused. We have identified thirty-two Amsel movie posters that we believe made it to movies theatres / cinemas.
Have we got any wrong? Have we missed any? Over to you…
Richard Amsel - All of the Movie Posters
Such an astonishing body of work, produced in too short a space of time.
If you'd like to find an incredible piece of Amsel art for your wall, why not take a look at the Richard Amsel movie posters we currently have available.
We hope you find something you love.

Hi Joshua,
Really pleased you enjoyed the article. Hello Dolly is definitely by Richard Amsel, but there is a bit of Bob Peak to it. :-)
Pretty sure Hello Dolly is Bob Peak’s art. Great page! Love Amsel!
Fantastic work. I have “The Late Show” poster in my studio. Was an inspiration to me from his first TV Guide cover. Gone too soon.
Absolutely amazing! How could someone have such a gift and another person not?
