Poster Design in an Era of Cinematic Change

The 1960s and 1970s were decades of profound change in cinema, and their posters reflect that shift clearly. Earlier traditions of studio publicity and illustrative spectacle remained visible, but were increasingly joined by more experimental layouts, bolder typography, photographic collage and striking new approaches to colour and mood.
