A guaranteed original U.S. movie poster for Woody Allen's 1979 romantic comedy "Manhattan", starring Allen, Diane Keaton, Michael Murphy, Mariel Hemingway, Meryl Streep and Anne Byrne.

This wonderful movie was inspired by his love of George Gershwin's music, which also makes up the soundtrack to the movie. Shot on location in New York, it is as much a tribute to the Big Apple as it is a modern love story.

This superb movie poster, with its black and white imagery mirroring the film, is a truly iconic one. Designed by Bert Kleeger while working for the Joseph Caroff Design Agency, and incorporating a photo from Brian Hamill, it captures the movie perfectly.

Unusually for the time, this example has never been folded and as our photos show, is in fantastic condition. It will look incredible framed and on display in the home of any lover of New York or of Woody Allen's films. A real collector's piece. We love it!

By the way, Allen was initially unhappy with the film, even offering to make a film for free if United Artists did not release it. Thank goodness they did!
