James Cameron began work on Avatar in 1994, but it would be fifteen years before technology was able to realise his vision, to transport us to the wonderous world of Pandora and to introduce us to the amazing ten-foot, blue-skinned Na'vi.
So, perhaps we shouldn't be surprised that when its sequel is released in December 2022, we will have waited thirteen years for Avatar: The Way of Water.
Set a decade after the first film, Jake Sully and Neytiri now have a family, but The People are still not safe from the greed and destruction of Humans.
To give us a taste of what is to come, an official teaser trailer has just been released. It is breath taking. The level of realism takes computer generated imagery and movie making to another level.
You have to watch it!
The first of a possible four Avatar sequels (Avatar 3 is set for release by 2024), who would bet against this film taking over from its predecessor as the highest grossing film of all time?
The teaser movie poster is pretty special too!
