A guaranteed original Japanese 'B2' movie poster from 2016 for Hiromasa Yonebayashi's 'anime' animation "Omoide no Mani", released in English as "When Marnie Was There", from the legendary Studio Ghibli and with the voice talents of Kathy Bates, Geena Davis, John C. Reilly and Hailee Steinfeld.
Produced by Studio Ghibli for Walt Disney Japan, Toho and the Nippon Television Network, the film marked a watershed moment for the studio. It would be the final film that animator Makiko Futaki would work on before his death in May 2016. It was also the final film directed by Yonobayasi before his decision to leave the studio. A fitting swansong, it was nominated for the Best Animated Feature Oscar.
The film is based upon a 1967 novel by British author Joan Mary Gale Robinson in which a young Londoner, Anna, is sent to Norfolk where she meets the mysterious Marnie.
This fantastic poster has never been folded and as our high-resolution photos show, is in wonderful condition. It will look amazing framed and on the wall of an animation or Studio Ghibli fan.
We only sell guaranteed original movie posters. We do not sell reproductions.
