A guaranteed original U.S. 'insert' movie poster from 1975 for Blake Edward's comedy sequel "The Return of the Pink Panther".
The fourth of the Pink Panther films sees Peter Sellers return as the inept (but surprisingly effective) French detective, Inspector Clouseau. Herbert Lom and Burt Kwouk also return as his 'driven to distraction' boss, Chief Inspector Charles Dreyfuss and personal assistant / martial arts companion, Cato!
When the Pink Panther diamond is stolen once more, who else could recover it than Clouseau? Demoted to the beat by his down-trodden boss, but now re-promoted to Inspector, our favourite French detective sets off to track-down a mysterious cat-burglar known as The Phantom.
Lauded as a return to form for both Sellers and the Pink Panther films, it would take $75M at the box office, against a production budget of just $5M. (Not a bad return!)
This superb poster is an example of the rarer U.S. Insert format. These narrower posters present a fantastic opportunity where wall space is at a premium., As our photos show, it is in lovely condition, despite being nearly 50 years old! Just looking at it, I can hear Henry Mancini's Pink Panther theme tune and see Cato jumping out of a wardrobe, karate style!
We only sell guaranteed original movie posters. We do not sell reproductions.
Note: This poster is priced unframed. Photos showing framed and 'in room' images are for illustration only. Please check our hi-res images and the sizing information shown above.
