A guaranteed original Australian daybill movie poster from 1974 for Jack Clayton's romantic melodrama "The Great Gasby", starring Robert Redford, Mia Farrow, Karen Black, Scott Wilson, Sam Waterston, Lois Chiles, Bruce Dern and Howard Da Silva.

To date, there have been four adaptations of F. Scott Fitzgerald's 1926 novel. This, the third, has a screenplay by Francis Ford Copolla. Apparently a draft written by Truman Capote was unusuable, despite him receiving a $300K fee!

This wonderful movie poster showing Redford and Farrow was produced for the film's release in Australia. Originally issued folded, it has since been linen-backed and as our photos show, now displays beautifully.

By the way, apparently Copolla took the job as he was unsure how successful The Godfather would be! He checked himself in to Oscar Wilde's old suite at a Paris hotel and took three weeks to produce the script!
