A guaranteed original (and incredibly rare) 11x14 lobby card from 2008 for Chistopher Nolan's super-hero thriller "The Dark Knight", with Christian Bale as 'Batman' / 'Bruce Wayne' and Heath Ledger as 'The Joker'.

Considered one of the greatest super-hero films of all-time, The Dark Knight will always be remembered for the phenomenal performance of Heath Ledger. On 22nd January 2008, six months before the film opened, Ledger tragically died from a drug overdose. He would sweep the board at the following year's film awards, including the Best Supporting Actor Oscar, awarded posthumously.

The film would go on to take over $1B at the box office, paving the way for super-hero films as we know them today.

In the second half of the twentieth century, nearly all major movies had lobby card sets as part of their promotional material. By the start of the twenty-first century, they were becoming less common. Now, they are consigned to history books. We had never seen a set of lobby cards for The Dark Knight, so when an opportunity to buy five sets arose, we bought them all!

This wonderful lobby card, showing Ledger's incredible portrayal of the Joker, would have been displayed in the foyer of a U.S. movie theatre during the film's promotion.

It is in superb condition and has been framed by us in a black ayous wood frame with an iced white mount, protective barrier board and crystal clear Perspex glazing. As our photos show, it will look amazing on display!
