What a poster this is! A guaranteed original U.K. quad movie poster from 1986 for Martin Scorsese's pool gambling sequel "The Color of Money", based on the novel by Walter Tevis.
This fantastic film sees Paul Newman reprise the role of pool player Fast Eddie Felson with Tom Cruise as an up-coming hustler Vincent Lauria and Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio as his girlfriend Carmen.
The movie was nominated for four Oscars, with Newman finally winning the Best Actor award after seven previous nominations!
Newman had portrayed the same character in 1961's The Hustler (also based on a novel by Tevis). With an Oscar nomination for this film, he became the first actor to be nominated twice for playing the same character.
This superb illustrated poster has amazing artwork by Robert Tanenbaum. (Look out for a blog post on an exciting new book about his work soon.) It was originally issued folded, but has recently been linen backed by our paper conservators and as our photos show, it now displays incredibly well!
A really wonderful poster for any games room or budding hustler!
We only sell guaranteed original movie posters. We do not sell reproductions.
Note: This poster is priced unframed. Photos showing framed and 'in room' images are for illustration only. Please check our hi-res images and the sizing information shown above.
