This is a REALLY unusual one!

A guaranteed original and framed French lobby card from 1977 for "Star Wars", now known as "Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope".

Written and directed by George Lucas and nominated for the Best Picture Oscar, Star Wars introduced us to Mark Hamill (as "Luke Skywalker"), Harrison Ford (as "Han Solo"), Carrie Fisher (as "Princess Leia"), Anthony Daniels (as "C-3PO"), Kenny Baker (as "R2-D2") and a host of actors now very familiar faces to all movie fans.

We recently acquired a small number of French lobby cards that we have not seen before. We know that they were printed in France as they have the printer's details on them, BUT, they have the English language name, rather than the French La Guerre des Étoiles title. We have no idea why!

This superb example should never have been printed! It shows Luke and Leia about to make their daring swing across the Death Star chasm. BUT, look closely... You can see the Elstree Studio's sound stage floor AND lighting rigs at the top left too! This photo is used cropped in several promotional pieces for the film, but this one clearly wasn't checked before going to the printers!

A real talking point for any fan of the film!

It has been framed by us in a solid black ayous wood frame with an iced white mount, protective barrier board and crystal clear acrylic glazing. As our photos show, it will look fantastic on display!
