"To boldly go where no man / no one has gone before…"
A guaranteed original and framed theatrical still from 1979 for the genre defining sci-fi, "Star Trek - The Motion Picture".
This was the first of the film spin-offs from Gene Roddenberry's original TV series and starred the original 1960's cast, William Shatner (as Captain James T. Kirk), Leonard Nimoy (as Mr. Spock), DeForest Kelley (as Dr. "Bones" McCoy), James Doohan (as Commander Montgomery "Scotty" Scott), George Takei (as Lieutenant Commander Hikaru Sulu), Walter Koenig (as Chekov) and Nichelle Nichols (as Lieutenant Commander Uhura).
This wonderful movie still showing the officers of the Enterprise examining Vger's 'Ilia probe', would have been taken by a Unit Still Photographer during production of the film. It was then issued by Paramount Pictures for use in publicity of the movie's release. Paramount even included paper snipes giving editorial information. These are attached to the reverse of the still and are shown in our photographs.
It is in fantastic condition and has been framed in a black ayous wood frame with an iced white mount, protective barrier board and acrylic glazing with high UV resistance. As our photos show, it will look amazing on display!
Who would have thought that over thirty years later, Captain Kirk / William Shatner would actually make it in to space?!
We only sell guaranteed original movie posters. We do not sell reproductions.
Note: This movie still is priced framed. Photos showing 'in room' images are for illustration only. Please check our hi-res images and the sizing information shown above.
