A guaranteed original one sheet movie poster from 1978 for Sidney Lumet's classic murder mystery "Murder on the Orient Express", based on the 1934 novel by Agatha Christie.

Joining Oscar nominated Albert Finney (as 'Hercule Poirot') are an all-star cast of the period, including Lauren Bacall, Martin Balsam, Ingrid Bergman (also Oscar nominated), Jacqueline Bissett, Jean-Pierre Cassel, Sean Connery, John Gielgud, Wendy Hiller, Anthony Perkins, Vanessa Redgrave, Rachel Roberts, Richard Widmark, Michael York, Colin Blakely, George Coulouris and Denis Quilley.

This incredible movie poster is by the late great Richard Amsel and there are few better examples of his incredible design skills, deft touch and outstanding portraits. The locomotive incorporated in to the hilt of the dagger that drives through the cast is just astonishing. There are few better movie posters from the period.

It was issued folded and has remained so. Most folded posters flatten and then frame well, but any future owner may choose to have the poster linen backed, which would greatly reduce the visibility of fold-lines and further conserve the poster.

We adore Amsel's movie posters and this is a wonderful, hard to find, example.
