The musical has been seen by over 65 million people and has grossed $4B at the box office. The film did (almost) as well, taking over $600M at the box office against its production budget of 'just' $50M.

With an all-star cast that includes Meryl Streep, Pierce Brosnan, Colin Firth, Stellan Skarsgård, Julie Walters, Dominic Cooper, Amanda Seyfried and Christine Baranski, this feel-good musical romp would become the fifth highest grossing film of 2008 and would lead to a sequel, 2018's "Mamma Mia!, Here We Go Again".
