"The name is Bond, James Bond..."

A guaranteed original International teaser one sheet movie poster from 1979 for "Moonraker", directed by Lewis Gilbert.

The eleventh of the Bond films and the fourth to star Roger Moore as 007, it also starred Lois Chiles (as 'Holly Goodhead'), Michael Londale (as 'Hugo Drax') and Richard Kiel (as the fantastic 'Jaws').

Whilst the end credits of the previous Bond film (1977's The Spy Who Loved Me) had stated that Bond would return in For Your Eyes Only, the producers decided to capitalise on the success of Star Wars and turned to Ian Fleming's 1955 novel Moonraker as the basis Bond's next adventure.

Premiering in London on 26th June 1979, the movie would go on to take $210M at the box office, with critics singling out Moore's performance as one of his best renditions of the gentleman spy.

This is a fantastic movie poster with superb artwork by Bond favourite Daniel Goozee. It is marked as the 'International' version, meaning that it was printed in the United States for use outside of the country.

Originally issued folded, it has now been professionally linen-backed by our paper conservators, providing conservation and easier handling of the poster. It also dramatically reduces the visibility of the original fold lines. As our high resolution photos show, it will frame magnificently and look absolutely superb on the wall!

James Bond posters are highly sought after and Roger Moore brought a charm and wit to 007 that has not been matched since. This poster recalls a magical era for Bond.

We only sell guaranteed original movie posters. We do not sell reproductions.

Note: This movie poster is priced unframed. Photos showing framed and 'in room' images are for illustration only. Please check our hi-res images and the sizing information shown above.

Original Poster Buying Guide

Authenticity & Original Posters

Art of the Movies specialises exclusively in authentic original cinema posters issued for theatrical release. These are not modern reproductions or decorative reprints.

Original posters were produced in limited numbers for cinemas to promote films during their initial release. As a result, surviving examples have become highly collectible artefacts of film history.

Each poster offered on this site is an authentic vintage piece created for cinema exhibition and carefully selected for collectors and film enthusiasts.

Condition & Age

Vintage cinema posters were working promotional materials used by theatres and distributors. As such, signs of age and handling are normal and form part of their character.

Condition is carefully assessed for each poster and reflected in the description. Where relevant, notes may include details such as light handling wear, fold lines from original cinema distribution, or minor edge wear.

Any significant restoration or conservation work will always be clearly stated.

Poster Formats & Dimensions

Original cinema posters were produced in a variety of standard formats depending on the country and era of release.

Common formats include UK Quad, US One Sheet and other theatrical display sizes. Exact dimensions for each poster are provided in the product details where relevant.

These historic formats are part of the distinctive character of original film advertising.

Framing Options

Many posters can be supplied professionally framed as an optional extra.

Framing is carried out using archival-quality materials designed to protect and display vintage paper safely. Frames are prepared to complement the artwork while maintaining a clean, gallery-style presentation.

Where framing is available, it can be selected before purchase.

Packaging & Delivery

Posters are carefully packaged to ensure safe delivery.

Unframed posters are typically shipped rolled safely packaged within our extra-thick custom-made tubes. Framed pieces are securely boxed using protective materials to minimise movement during transit.
