A guaranteed original U.S. one sheet DVD and video poster from 2001 for "Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone" (released in the U.S. as "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone"), based on the first of J.K. Rowling's 'Harry Potter' books.
As well as a stellar supporting class, the film introduced to a new set of child actors, starring Daniel Radcliffe (as "Harry Potter"), Rupert Grint (as "Ron Weasley"), Emma Watson (as "Hermione Granger"), Richard Harris (as "Professor Dumbledore"), Dame Maggie Smith (as "Professor McGonagall"), Robbie Coltrane (as "Hagrid"), Ian Hart ("as Professor Quirrell"), Richard Brenner (as "He Who Must Not Be Named"), Alan Rickman (as "Professor Snape"), and John Cleese (as "Nearly Headless Nick").
Filming was conducted over six months at Warner Brothers Studios, Leavesden, now home of the Harry Potter Experience just up the road from our base in Hertfordshire.
The Harry Potter books and films are a cultural phenomenon and for the films, this is where it all began. This stunning poster is by the late movie poster master Drew Struzan. He was responsible for many other famous posters (such as Star Wars and Back to the Future). His posters are highly regarded by collectors and art lovers alike.
We do not stock many DVD / video posters, but original movie posters with this artwork are now so hard to find, and so expensive, that offering this version widens the poster's potential ownership.
It was issued in the United States and so carries the Sorcerer's Stone title. (We have only ever seen a couple of examples of this poster with the Philosopher's Stone title).
It is single-sided and in lovely condition. It will look amazing framed and on display!
