A guaranteed original U.S. one sheet movie poster from 2001 for "Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone" (released in the U.S. as "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone"), based on the first of J.K. Rowling's 'Harry Potter' books.

As well as a stellar supporting class, the film introduced to a new set of child actors, starring Daniel Radcliffe (as "Harry Potter"), Rupert Grint (as "Ron Weasley"), Emma Watson (as "Hermione Granger"), Richard Harris (as "Professor Dumbledore"), Dame Maggie Smith (as "Professor McGonagall"), Robbie Coltrane (as "Hagrid"), Ian Hart ("as Professor Quirrell"), Richard Brenner (as "He Who Must Not Be Named"), Alan Rickman (as "Professor Snape"), and John Cleese (as "Nearly Headless Nick").

Filming was conducted over six months at Warner Brothers Studios, Leavesden, now home of the 'Harry Potter Experience' just up the road from our base in Hertfordshire.

This magical poster has never been folded, but saw some action in the field before we tracked it down! Our paper conservators have worked wonders and as our photos show, it now displays very well! Please examine our photos where we have used bright raking-light (which makes things look far worse than they look under normal light) to show examples of the signs of previous use.

It was issued in the United States and so carries the 'Sorcerer's Stone' title. (We have only ever seen a couple of examples of this poster with the 'Philosopher's Stone' title). It is double-sided and so is suitable for display in an Art of the Movies Light Box or traditional framing. Either way, this is a rare poster that will look fantastic framed and on display.

The Harry Potter books and films are a cultural phenomenon and for the cinema, this is where it all began. This stunning poster is by Drew Struzan. He is responsible for many other famous posters (such as Star Wars and Back to the Future). His posters are highly regarded by collectors and art lovers alike.
