A guaranteed original '8x10' lobby card from 1980 for Mike Hodge's sci-fi fantasy "Flash Gordon", based on the comic-strip character created by Alex Raymond in the 1930s.

Starring Sam J. Jones (as 'Flash Gordon'), Melody Anderson, Ornella Muti, Timothy Dalton, Topol and Max von Sydow (as 'Emperor Ming, The Merciless'), this cult movie also includes a fantastic soundtrack by Freddie Mercury's Queen!

Now a firm fan favourite, a new Flash Gordon film has been in the works for some years. In October 2018 it was reported that writer and director Julius Avery will helm the project for Fox studios, with Matthew Vaughan as producer. How exciting is that!?!

This fantastic lobby card would have been used in the foyer of a U.S. movie theatre. It shows Flash, Dale and Dr Hans Zarkov, crash landed on the planet Mongo and surrounded by Ming's troops. As our photos show, it is in fantastic condition!

By the way, in the 1970s, George Lucas attempted to acquire the rights to Flash Gordon. Unable to do so, he went on to write and direct Star Wars!
