A guaranteed original U.S. one sheet movie poster from 1999 for James Algar and Gaetan Brizzi's musical fantasy "Fantasia 2000", hosted by Steve Martin, Quincy Jones, Bette Midler, James Earl Jones, Penn & Teller and Angela Lansbury.

Walt Disney's original Fantasia was released in 1940. Despite critical acclaim, World War II would prevent it making much of an impact on movie goers. Re-released multiple times in the ensuing decades, it is now one of the highest grossing films ever released in the U.S.!

The idea to revisit Fantasia came from Walt's nephew Roy in the 1980s. It would take nearly twenty years for Fantasia 2000 to reach the big screen and in doing so, become the first animated film to be released for IMAX.

This wonderful movie poster celebrates that four month IMAX release. It has never been folded and as our photos show is in lovely condition. Being double-sided it is suitable for display in an Art of the Movies Light Box or traditional framing.

By the way, a temporary IMAX movie theatre was built in Los Angeles specifically for this film. It cost nearly $4M!
