A guaranteed original half sheet movie poster from 1985 for Ron Howard's magical alien 'OAP' sci-fi classic "Cocoon", based on a story by David Saperstein.
This wonderful movie has a stellar (excuse the pun) cast, including Don Ameche, Wilford Brimley, Hume Cronyn, Brian Dennehy, Steve Guttenberg, Jessica Tandy, Gwen Verdon and Tahnee Welch (daughter of Raquel).
When friendly aliens from Antarea return to rescue fellow explorers cocooned when Atlantis was engulfed with water, their mission is discovered by a group of elderly residents of a nearby retirement home.
A superb mix of adventure, pathos and comedy make this a 1980's classic worth returning to. As magical now as it was thirty years ago.
This wonderful poster has artwork by movie poster legend John Alvin. It is a rarer U.S. 'half sheet' format and is printed on a thicker 'card-like' paper stock. It is a super way to pick up a smaller original U.S. movie poster for this magical movie.
