A rare and guaranteed original one sheet movie poster from 2000 for Peter Lord and Nick Park's animated escape adventure "Chicken Run", starring the voice talents of Mel Gibson, Julia Sawalha, Miranda Richardson, Phil Daniels, Timothy Spall, Jane Horrocks and Imelda Staunton (and many more).
Produced by Aardman Animations (creators of Wallace and Gromit) using labour intensive 'stop-motion' animation, the film tells of a group of chickens, hell bent on escaping the Tweedy's, farmers who want to turn them in to the main ingredient of their Chicken Pies!
Aardman's first feature length film, Chicken Run is a riot of a film and a real family favourite here at AotM HQ. (Little Miss AotM used to insist on calling herself 'Ginger'.) It is also the highest grossing stop-animation film of all time (at $225M).
We were delighted to see the return of Ginger as Chicken Run: Dawn of the Nugget was released on Netflix!
This superb poster doesn't turn up very often and we were lucky to secure a couple of wonderful examples. This one is in beautiful condition and being double-sided, could be displayed in an Art of the Movies Light Box or traditional framing, Either way, it will look clucking good! (Sorry!).
