Based on the 2009 novel by Colm Tóibín, Brooklyn follows a young Irish woman as she emigrates to New York in search of a better life. When, having settled and found love, she is forced to return to Ireland, will she choose to remain there or to return to her life in the New World?

Released to universal acclaim, Brooklyn would go on to be nominated for three Oscars, including Best Picture and Best Actress for the superb Saoirse Ronan. If you haven't seen it, this is a film to look up.
