A guaranteed original one-sheet movie poster from 1973 for Raymond St Jacque's gambling thriller "Book of Number", based on the Robert Deane Pharr novel of 1969.

Starring St Jacque, Philip Michael Thomas, Freda Payne and Hope Clarke, the movie tells of two black waiters who set up an illegal lottery while also evading the police, the mafia and the KKK! 

Raymond St Jacque was the first African American actor to be cast in a recurring role in a TV Western, playing 'Simon Blake' in season 8 of Rawhide. A very successful film and TV actor, "Book of Numbers" would be his only directorial outing.

This amazing and rare poster has stunning illustration and we are trying (but have so far been unsuccessful) to identify the artist. (If anyone knows, please do let us know!) 

The poster is a larger U.S. format known as a '30x40'. It has never been folded and is in fantastic condition. (As it is the same-size as a UK quad, it can be framed in one of our UK quad movie poster frames.)
