Genius director Inarritu (see also Babel and The Revenant) also wrote this incredible story of a faded Hollywood actor struggling to mount a Broadway play while also hearing the super-hero character that he used to portray. 

Nominated for seven Oscars, it would take home the Best Film, Best Director, Best Actor (Michael Keaton) and Best Screenplay awards, cementing Inarritu's position as a visionary director of powerful psychological dramas.
