Bette Midler and Barbara Hershey star as two friends who's lifelong friendship starts when they meet under the boardwalk of an Atlantic City beach.

Despite some critical criticism, this film became a firm fan favourite, taking over $50M at the box office and giving Midler a U.S. number one with the Grammy Award winning "Wind Beneath My Wings".
