A guaranteed original 8x10 theatrical still from 1978 for Richard A. Colla's science fiction blockbuster "Battlestar Galactica", starring Richard Hatch, Lorne Greene, Dirk Benedict and Maren Jensen.
Glen A. Larson originally came up with the story in the 1960's, but was unable to secure funding. The success of 1977's Star Wars paved the way, for what Larson envisaged as a series of made for TV movies. Given its production values, the first pilot episode was actually released in cinemas. The subsequent story was then run as a series of one hour weekly TV shows.
The adventures of Adama, Apollo and Starbuck were must see viewing for many of us growing up at the time. I recently watched the first pilot episode and whilst special effects have moved on quite a bit in the last forty years, the styling and story-lines are as good as ever. Treat yourself!
This fantastic theatrical still would have been taken by a Unit Still Photographer during filming. It shows Lieutenants Starbuck (Dirk Benedict) and Boomer (Herbert Jefferson Jr) fending off a Cylon assult! (We will provide an image of the rear of the still to its new owner.)
It is in wonderful condition and has been framed by us in a black ayous wood frame with an iced white mount, protective barrier board and crystal clear Perspex glazing. As our photos show, it will look amazing on display!
We only sell guaranteed original movie posters. We do not sell reproductions.
Note: This still is priced framed. Photos showing 'in room' images are for illustration only. Please check our hi-res images and the sizing information shown above.
