A guaranteed original one sheet movie poster from 2006 for Mel Gibson's historical action adventure "Apocalypto", starring Rudy Youngblood, Dalia Hernandez, Jonathan Brewer, Morris Birdyellowhead and Carlos Emilio Baez.

Set in the Mexican state of Yucatán in the early sixteenth century, Apocalypto follows Jaguar Paw, a late Mesoamerican hunter, as he is captured and taken to a Mayan city for sacrifice.

Starring indigenous and Mexican actors and with all dialogue in our best approximation of ancient South American languages, Apocalypto was a brave choice for a sometimes controversial director. The result was a tour de force, with Martin Scorsese saying... "Many pictures today don't go into troubling areas like this, the importance of violence in the perpetuation of what's known as civilization. I admire Apocalypto for its frankness, but also for the power and artistry of the film-making."
