A guaranteed original one sheet movie poster from 1981 for Ralph Bakshi's animated rock and roll musical "American Pop", written by Ronni Kern.

The follow-up to Bakshi's astonishing "The Lord of the Rings", the movie gives a history of American 20th century music through four generations of a Russian Jewish immigrant family of musicians.

Bakshi combined the 'rotoscoping' technique used to such good effect in his previous film with live-action footage, water-colour animation and even early computer generated animation. Given his reputation, he was also able to secure the rights to a phenomenal range of music, including songs by Bob Dylan, Janis Joplin, The Doors, George Gershwin, Lou Reed and Herbie Hancock. An astonishing soundtrack!

This amazing single-sided poster (is the artwork by Bakshi himself... we aren't sure) is a kaleidoscope of American musical history. It is stunning! It has never been folded and displays fantastically.
