A guaranteed original and framed '8x10' lobby / front of house card from 1972 for Stanley Kubrick's sci-fi psychodrama "A Clockwork Orange", based on the novel by Anthony Burgess and nominated for the Best Picture Academy Award.
Here in the UK, A Clockwork Orange carries a fair amount of infamy. After being indirectly linked to a number of violent copycat crimes, the film was withdrawn in 1973 at the request of Stanley Kubrick. It would not be available in the UK until after Kubrick's death.
This superb lobby card would have been used in the foyer of a U.S. movie theatre during the film's release. The image is from the opening scenes of the movie as Alex introduces himself and his droogs while at the milk-plus bar.
The movie was originally released in the U.S. with 'X' rating, before being re-rated as 'R'. Promotional material with the 'X' rating are far harder to come by - and this this lobby card has that!
It is in fantastic condition and has been framed by us in a black ayous wood frame with an iced white mount, protective barrier board and crystal clear Perspex glazing. As our photos show, it will look amazing on display!
We only sell guaranteed original movie posters. We do not sell reproductions.
Note: This lobby card is priced framed. Photos showing 'in room' images are for illustration only. Please check our hi-res images and the sizing information shown above.
