A guaranteed original and framed mini window card for one of the most influential films ever made, Stanley Kubrick's legendary "2001: A Space Odyssey".

Based on the short story The Sentinel by Arthur C. Clarke, the screenplay was written jointly by Kubrick and Clarke. Although financed by MGM from the U.S., the film was largely made in the U.K. It's ground-breaking visual effects earned Kubrick an Oscar. One of four of the film's nominations. 

Window cards were (perhaps unsurprisingly) placed in the windows of U.S. shops showing the local movie theater's upcoming film. There was usually a space for the theater owner to write the date and time of the performance. In this case, at some point in its fifty plus years, the white space at the bottom was cut off.

The wonderful artwork showing astronauts at the Moon's Clavius Crater, is by Bob McCall.  This artwork was also used on the style 'B' one sheet movie poster. This is the first time was have had this window card and it is in superb condition. We love it!

It has been framed by us in a black ayous wood frame with an iced white mount, protective barrier board and crystal clear acrylic glazing. As our photos show, it will look amazing on display!
