A guaranteed original promotional still from 1976 celebrating the career of Alfred Hitchcock as he released his 53rd (and final) film "Family Plot".

Based on Victor Canning's 1972 novel The Rainbird Pattern, Family Plot stars Karen Black, Bruce Dern, Barbara Harris and William Devane, in a tale that brings two couples together in the search for a missing heir.

A macabre comedy with Hitchcock's customary attention to detail, the movie would be the director's last. He passed, aged 80, in 1980.

This superb promotional still would have been used for publicity during the film's release. It shows Hitchcock with a film reel for each of his 53 feature films. The reverse carries the studio's typed notes and we will include a photo of that for the new owner's records. A superb piece of film history.
