A guaranteed original U.S. half sheet movie poster from 1977 for Steven Spielberg's sci-fi classic "Close Encounters Of The Third Kind", starring Richard Dreyfuss, Teri Garr, Melinda Dillon, Francois Truffaut and Cary Guffey.

Ever since watching a meteor shower as a child, Spielberg had been fascinated by aliens, UFOs and science-fiction. At the age of just seventeen he wrote and directed Firelight (1964), in which a group of scientists investigate the apparent abduction of people and animals by aliens from the planet Altaris.

Many of the scenes from Firelight would re-emerge, in fuller form, within Close Encounters. 

This incredible movie poster is an example of the rarer U.S. 'half sheet' format. It has never been folded and as our photos show, will look amazing framed and on display! We love it!
