A guaranteed original Japanese B2 movie poster from the October 1978 Japanese release of Stanley Kubrick's 1968 epic "2001: A Space Odyssey".

Based on the short story The Sentinel by Arthur C. Clarke, the screenplay was written jointly by Kubrick and Clarke. Although financed by MGM from the U.S., the film was largely made in the U.K. It's ground-breaking visual effects earned Kubrick an Oscar. One of four of the film's nominations. 

This superb poster combines the iconic artistry of Bob McCall with the unmistakeable design of a Japanese movie poster. A great way to pick up a smaller original movie poster for one of the (perhaps 'the') greatest science fiction films of all time, in fantastic condition (see our photos).
