Set in 1958, the film stars John Travolta (as leader of the T-Birds 'Danny Zuko') and Olivia Newton-John (as Australian ex-pat 'Sandy Olsson') as teenagers who meet on a beach and fall in love, believing they will never meet again. As the new school term starts, they are reunited, only for peer and social pressure to keep them apart.

The highest grossing musical ever at the time, this fun-filled sing-along of a movie laid the foundations for a raft of big-screen musicals, such as Mamma Mia and The Greatest Showman.
