From the esteemed Studio Ghibli and roughly translating as 'Spirit Princess" this superb movie is set during Japan's Muromachi period and follows the young Prince Ashitaka as he tries to reconcile the spirits of nature and the all-consuming humans who threaten them.

The highest grossing Japanese film of 1997 and at the time, of all time. It would take another Miyazaki film (2001's Spirited Away) to break the record.
