A guaranteed original Japanese ‘B2’ movie poster from 2023 for Hayao Miyazaki's final animated film "How Do You Live?", released in Japan as "The Boy and the Heron".

Struggling with the death of his mother and a new life at his step-mother's country home, 12 year old Mahito is befriended by a mysterious grey heron and introduced to a magical world.

Legendary Ghibli co-founder and director Miyazaki announced his retirement in 2013 but began storyboarding a new film in July 2016. Production kicked-off in 2017 with a targetted release of 2020. After COVID related delays and with Miyazaki's pain-staking approach to hand-drawing (by sixty animators), How Do You Live? was finally finished in October 2022. It is, apparently, the most expensive Japanese film ever produced.

In order to maximise the experience for cinema goers, there were no images, trailers or synopsis published. This poster is the only promotional material seen before release.

This superb Japanese B2 movie is in wonderful condition and as our photos show, will look fantastic framed and on the wall of any Studio Ghibli fan!
