A guaranteed original Japanese 'B2' movie poster from 1982 for Disney's sci-fi classic "TRON".
Starring Jeff Bridges ("Kevin Flynn"), as a former game designer for ENCOM. While attempting to hack in to the ENCOM mainframe, Flynn is digitised and beamed in to the computer, having to play a number of games and eventually destroy the ENCOM Master Control Program (MCP) in order to escape.
Perhaps underestimated at the time of its release, TRON was recognised fourteen years later with a special Academy Award for Technical Achievement.
This absolutely fantastic movie poster has never been folded and (as our photos show) is in lovely condition with just a few signs of previous handling. It carries a fantastic Japanese photo montage that we haven't seen used on any Western posters. A super smaller format poster for the sci-fi and computer fan!
For those that didn't start computer programming in the late 1970s / early 1980s, TRON is a command used to provide information to help debug computer programs. A real technological hero! The release of the film coincided with the explosion of the home computer market. For many, now middle-aged, "TRON" provided the perfect sci-fi adventure version of the many hours sat coding (and debugging) in a bedroom. An iconic poster.
