A guaranteed original U.S. half sheet movie poster from 1979 for the genre defining sci-fi, "Star Trek - The Motion Picture".

The first film spin-off from Gene Roddenberry's original TV series stars the original 1960's cast, with William Shatner (as Captain James T. Kirk), Leonard Nimoy (as Mr. Spock), DeForest Kelley (as Dr. "Bones" McCoy), James Doohan (as Commander Montgomery "Scotty" Scott), George Takei (as Lieutenant Commander Hikaru Sulu), Walter Koenig (as Chekov) and Nichelle Nichols (as Lieutenant Commander Uhura).

This incredible movie poster is by legendary movie poster artist Bob Peak, with Kirk, Spock and Ilia in a 'transporter rainbow'. A motive that has reoccurred in Star Trek movie posters up to the current day.

This example is of the rarer 'half sheet' format and as our photos show, it has never been folded and will look amazing framed and on the wall of any sci-fi fan. We love it!

By the way, apparently Quentin Tarantino was at one point attached to a Star Trek movie. He still has the script. I wonder what that film would be like!
